Extension Location: Berlin Reference: 1159 A service contract is offered for the following task: For our customer (leading international mobile internet service provider) in Berlin we are looking for Senior Software Test Engineer. Focus will be to develop location-based services across different platforms. We are looking for a Front end Test & QA specialist to join our fast growing team in Berlin. You will be responsible to lay out and establish QA inside our agile development teams. Therefore you will be responsible for specifying, conducting and ensuring the test & the quality of a location based applications running on mobile devices & web platform. In this position, you will working within a team of developers, graphic designers and interaction designers. The responsibilities include (but are not limited to): - Component and application testing (Device & Web platform) - Test planning, designing of test cases, test execution, error reporting, analysis and error verification - Improving & building up front end test processes - setting up the testing framework - Benchmarking of functionalities - Test automation at component/feature level - Create and improve JavaScript based automated tests - Technical expertise of the product area from testing & quality perspective - Take part in building up the front end test team as part of the development cycle Qualifications * Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification * Proven expertise in a field of software testing and quality assurance * 2-4 years directly related experience in software testing & quality assurance * Passion to learn and to work with new technologies * Ability to work efficiently under pressure with tight deadlines and demanding quality objectives * Flexible and innovative in problem solving * Good communication and teamwork skills * Fluent in English, both in spoken and written form * Experience in Agile software development The strongest candidates will also have: * Knowledge of internet browsers and their differences. * Experience with S60 or Linux is an advantage * Experience with automated testing tools is an advantage * Experience with Quality Center * Previous experience with mobile XHTML applications, clear understanding of constraints in mobile browser environments * Good knowledge of JavaScript, HTML and CSS and experience in testing web-based client-server applications is preferred. * ISTQB Practitioner
