We are looking for a strong Business Systems Analyst based in Basel, Switzerland, who will support the “Pro-curement & Contract Manu-facturing” business unit from an IT perspective. Main activities will include: - Analyzing business problems to be solved with automated systems and processes. - Providing analytical expertise in identifying, evaluating, designing and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements - Providing consultation to users in the area of business systems and processes - May be acting as a Project Manager in addition to his/her Business Systems Analyst role - May be configuring some system settings and options; helping to document user requirements and developing functional specifications - May be leading crossfunctional analytical teams in the resolution of business or systems issues. Roles and Responsibilities: - Works in partnership with senior business stakeholders and IT services organizations - Provides input and supports Roadmap Development and Portfolio Management, including maintenance of budgets/forecasts/resource planning in the respective tools - Creates the business case including high level solution options and resource estimates covering the “Solution Creation” liaising with stake-holders on business- and IT side - During “Project Initiation” he/she establishes the project charter and mandatory supporting documents to-gether with the Informatics Project Manager (IPM) - Ensures project delivery by the IPM meets the customer’s need - Supports the operational delivery and the service support as needed - Drives harmonization of busi-ness processes across sites and departments by propagating best practices, common standardized data models, applications and technologies that are in line with the cross-functional or functional Informatics strategies and architectures - Drives for reuse of standard software and existing solutions, exploits synergies and ensures best practice sharing for the projects of her/his responsibility across Informatics - Drives for cross functional teamwork - Is aware of information architecture and enterprise architecture - Develops business/technical critical know-how within area of expertise for the function and is familiar with opinion leaders in the field. - Focus is to support the busi-ness processes required in line with global procurement strategy and with local regulations. - Acts as Consultant to the individual stakeholders on business- and IT-side (Team Heads, Project Managers, Business Process Owners etc) - Works with other Business Systems Analysts/Business Solution Managers to gain new skills and cross train with them to develop mutual backup capabilities - Participates in Informatics architecture reviews Who you are: - 7 - 12 years of experience in multiple areas of business do-main and technology - Proficient knowledge of pharmaceutical processes - Proficient knowledge of application landscape - Experience in e-procurement processes for being able to understand business requirements and priorities - Experience in working with/configuration of ARIBA and/or SAP will be an advantage - Several years of proven Project Management experience on a regional/global scale and across several functions - Strong architectural skills - Strong systems and requirements analysis and technical skills - Customer and Service Management focus, combined with a strong sense of urgency - Virtual team management experience - Multicultural and International experience and scope - Willingness to travel up to 25 % - Apart from English, additional languages (German, Spanish) will be an advantage Start: ASAP End: Dec. 2012 Should you wish to apply, please send your latest CV in WORD format and IN ENGLISH together with your availability and the ALL INCLUSIVE RATE in SWISS FRANCS you require.
